the stella room
This is our outdoor area that can be enclosed and separated off especially for your private function - perfect for casual get togethers or celebrations of special birthdays or anniversaries!
The Stella room is just outside our main bar area and beer garden.
You can have control of your own music using our blue tooth speaker or enjoy the music playing in the main bar, which on Saturday nights will be either a DJ or Live band.
We have a great platters and pizzas menu to help feed your guests.
In most cases, room hire is free as long as you meet minimum number requirements.

We all enjoyed catching up and I loved having your bluetooth speaker to play music I knew my friends would enjoy and have a dance to. Thanks for putting the TVs on with the AB’s game in the background for my rugby mad friends! Some of my other friends were also loving the live band inside the main bar. Function Room
The back room of Quartz Restaurant / The Function Room is the best local option to host your special occasion meal – from staff functions to large family dinners, to celebrating any special occasion!
The back room can be closed off from the restaurant to comfortably seat 22- 45 people.
We have a large menu with something for everyone and can create set menus especially for you to help with ease of service.
The room has a TV which can be used for presentations, photo slideshows, or even entertainment for the kids while the adults dine in peace.
“Your back room was just perfect for our family reunion dinner! All the adults sat around one table catching up and enjoying your delicious meals, while the kids who had been served first were happily colouring in or playing with the toys in the toy box you provided. Having the door to the restaurant shut meant the little ones toddling around and loudly baby babbling meant we felt comfortable that we weren’t disturbing other diners. Everyone agreed your food and service was fabulous! We will definitely be back for our next big family dinner!”

“The Rolleston Lions have used the back room at Quartz for many years. The special features are the moveable tables and chairs which allow the ambiance to change with different attendees. A TV screen is available for speaker presentations. However it's the well presented food, from a diverse menu, that I believe makes the restaurant so popular, and easy to recommend.

The entire restaurant can be used to host your special functions / meetings or presentations during the day.
For large groups there is a possibility of having exclusive use of the entire restaurant in the evening.
The entire restaurant can comfortably seat 65 - 85 people.
We have a large menu with something for everyone and can create set menus especially for you to help with ease of service.
The are two TV’s which can be linked and used for presentations, photo slideshows, or even entertainment for the kids in one space, while the adults socialise in another.
As the restaurant is closed during the day, it’s a great space to take advantage of. You can use one area for socialising on arrival and another area to sit down for a meal or a presentation.

“We just loved having our staff Christmas Lunch at your restaurant and having the whole area to ourselves. Being a local school, a lot of the teachers knew they could relax without being under the watchful eyes of their students as they could be if dining in a public space. The service was impressive for hosting such a large group. The food was so great too - I’ll be going back with my family for another portion of that gorgeous chicken and roast veggie salad!”
